Over the summer Russell and I had decided to complete a few wedding projects on our own. It was a way for us to be able to put our own touch on some things as well as complete a fun project together. We both love being outdoors and doing craft activities together, so these summer projects were a blast for us to do.
In regards to our projects we wanted to keep Pinterest into consideration. Pinterest is such a popular site for wedding stuff, but we really want to stay away from having a "Pinterest wedding" as much as we can. There are some ideas that we have looked at for inspiration, but everything that we did we tried to put our own twist into it. We believe that a wedding should reflect who you are as individuals as well as who you are as a couple. We hope you enjoy!
Love from both,

Menards was definitely one of our "go-to" stores for wedding project supplies.
These are some of the clay pots that we bought for the center pieces. The spray paint is an off-white color with specks of brown, beige, cream, etc. The paint is also textured which gave the pots a
little more of a rustic look. The only negative comment about the spray
paint would be is runs out very quickly! We ran out and still had one
pot left to do out of these four piles.
An old palette that was under Russell's deck. We decided to use it for
the directional sign that will be located by the street. We will
eventually tie a few white balloons to it as well. The daisies we found
at Michaels and they were very inexpensive. We
figured if they will be outside, no need to spend a lot!
Literally, "A Sweet Ceremony" - We are not 100% sure where we are going to put this sign. We are thinking we will attach it to the deck fencing someplace, which is where the wedding ceremony will be held or place it on the beverage and hors d'oeuvres table. I am sure we will find a spot for it, and if we don't it did not cost us anything so it would not be a big deal at all.
The picture was cut-off, but this is the old wooden palette in the
picture two above. We just used white paint and a brush to paint our names
on the sign. We will attach the flowers when it gets closer to the
wedding.
